This snow storm has been expected here for some time now and it finally arrived. It was quite a shock this morning when we got up. Certainly didn't expect this!
Ollie loves to romp in the snow. He usually goes flying around the back yard at a 100 miles an hour. But today he just likes to watch the street through his "window".
He seemed to have found something. From there he can look under the hot tub and since it is open underneath, there are usually cats that take shelter there and I think that is what he might smell.
Along with that comes the clean up. This is my son Adrian cleaning his car. The driveway was next.
Can I come in now??
So there is our fun this morning. This afternoon we are taking my mother-in-law to see "Rain" - the Beatles Tribute in downtown Toronto. Just hoping that by the time we leave the snow has been cleared enough. I suspect that the major routes should be fairly clear. It's just the outlying areas and subdivisions that get looked after last.
We are now training Ollie to walk on the treadmill to keep his energy drained. He seems to have an abundance of it - wish he could share it with me. :)
He has really taken to it quite well. If we go on it, he wants to as well. Quite funny. Look at his concentration. If you touch him or speak to him at all, he looses his balance and falls off.
The other dog runs into her crate when we go downstairs as she doesn't like the "physical exercise" - typical female!
Speaking of exercise - we had our second "Olympics at work". It was a blast. There were 4 events to participate in- Biathlon, Hockey, Curling and Mindgame. The Biathlon consisted of having a flipper on one foot and a ski on the other, then run around the track; at the end you needed to shoot with a nerf gun on a target. I think that one was my favourite.
Hockey was a 2 minute game of air hockey....and I almost won that one.. I did win the biathlon though.
Game three was curling which consisted of a taped area for the target and indoor hockey pucks, which we "curled" to the target - won that one too.
and the fourth game - mind game - was an olympic wordsearch......won that one too!! Yeah me!!
Our team of got Silver....( that's me on the left)
After that we went for pizza and beer at the local Boston Pizza. Great fun.
Since I am the crafty one, I "designed" the medals. They were well received by everyone and I better out do myself for the 2012 Olympics.
And that's all for the time being.
