Woohoo! Mia Bella, c'est fini!!!
She is done and drying and stretching on the spare bed. What a blast this KAL was! I am impressed. I have always wanted to make a lace shawl, but never had the nerve to try one. I always found it too overwhelming. Well, now it's complete and I am absolutely thrilled. I can't wait to use it somewhere.
Even my husband likes it!!!! Every time I picked up the knitting needles, he wasn't allowed to speak to me, because I would mess up on the counting. :)
He already asked what I am going to do now, since I am finished. And honestly, I have no idea, but I do need to find something else quick, that's for sure. Maybe I'll make another sweater.... a summer one....which means I have to go to a wool store.....oh he'll be so bored...haha..
Notice my helper? He always has to be around what I am doing. I'll have to watch the kitten though. She loves the string...

So off to scout out a new project for me to do.

So, today is a rainy day and I am expecting to get my Mia Bella done. Although I have a baby shower to attend, I should still get it done. Only a few more rows to go. Yesterday was so lovely outside, that I just spent the day sitting outside and read. I picked some weeds out of the gardens. Now, why is it that the weeds grow marvelously, yet my flowers seem to take their sweet time to get established and bloom. Sigh!
Also the tomatoes seem to have been "slugged" and are dying. We tried to save them, but I am not sure it is possible. We'll see.

Newbie!!!

Well, I have never done a blog and I am not really sure I know what I am getting into. I love crafting and I thought this would be a great way of displaying some of my accomplishments. I usually just "craft" for fun or family. Lately I have been getting into making things for other people or trying some things I always wanted to make.
My latest craze is blankets. I made "knit-along" blanket for my daughter for Christmas. It turned out beautifully. Then it was baby blankets - quick and easy, you know. It seems everyone is having babies. Strange. But now instead of my friends, it's my children's friends. You know you're getting old when.....lol.
And then I took it a step further and decided to do some lace work, and since I had never tried that to the extreme, I was a bit scared. But I found a design and another knit-along at www.die-wolllust.de. Fantastic instructions and designs, I am hooked. And what was even more fun, Birgit gave us the patterns in clues - one a week. So the whole task doesn't seem so daunting. I am almost done my shawl and will post some photos later.

That's all for today folks
